RHIT Women's Golf - Chanrotchanaphan Earns Academic Honor
TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology sophomore Peem Chanrotchanaphan (Chiang Mai, Thailand/Grace International School) has been named to the Women's Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Team for her efforts on the links and in the classroom last season.
Chanrotchanaphan joined 663 other women's golfers from across the nation in NCAA Division I, II and III in earning WGCA All-American Scholar recognition. The minimum cumulative grade point average is 3.50, and the award also requires an adjusted scoring average below a certain threshold.
Chanrotchanaphan led Rose-Hulman with a stroke average of 84.19 as a freshman, including three top-five finishes in eight events. Her individual third-place individual finish at the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships helped propel the Fightin' Engineers to a school record second-place effort.
In the classroom, Chanrotchanaphan majors in chemical engineering and will enter her second year at Rose-Hulman this fall.
