RHIT Men's Basketball Schedule Release

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The 2014-15 Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's basketball schedules include 10 games, several in-state rivalries and a double round-robin conference slate for first-year head coach Rusty Loyd.

The Fightin' Engineers return two starters from a squad that reached the NCAA Division III Tournament for the third consecutive year last season.  Rose-Hulman finished 22-6 overall and won both the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference regular season and tournament titles in a season that featured winning streaks of eight and nine games.

Although Rose-Hulman must replace All-American and two-time HCAC Most Valuable Player Julian Strickland, Loyd and the Fightin' Engineers return much game experience.  Five players who averaged double figure minutes per game last season return, led by all-conference selection Jimmy Miller (Indianapolis, Ind./North Central).  Junior Tyler Duffy (Fishers, Ind./Hamilton Southeastern) also returns to the starting lineup.

The schedule opens with a trip to the Case Western Reserve Tournament in Cleveland.  The Fightin' Engineer four-game season opening road trip also includes games at geographic rivals DePauw and Wabash.

Rose-Hulman opens the home schedule with three games in eight days from Dec. 3-10.  The Fightin' Engineers host Anderson and Transylvania in league games, before welcoming Millikin for a non-conference home contest.

December also includes trips to Manchester, Blackburn and Illinois Tech.   The remaining schedule includes 15 conference games, with just two home dates in January.  Rose-Hulman closes the campaign with five of its last six contests at home.

Once again this season, Rose-Hulman will provide free online video and in-game statistics from every men's basketball home game.  Links to the coverage will be provided on Rose-Hulman's athletic website.
